Moon

Who could love the moon?

Oh, the inconstant moon-

Forever hiding away

Only in the night, she stays

Who could love the moon?

With her scars and craters-

Trenches hewn onto her face

A misshapen pattern of lace

Who could love the moon?

So very far away-

The empty void of space

A barrier between her grace

Who could love the mon?

A fleeting romance with humanity

Not even a full day

They left her with just a flag
