A moment of silence is all I ask

for all those who have left us in the past

changing the way we see the world from the sky to the grass

even the way I wrote this poem, I had to step back

memories fading but hitting you in the night

And it sucks because all you can do is remember and cry

While everyone not understanding the pain you feeling inside

like it isn't about seeing that person just one more time

It’s about knowing that person won’t ever leave your side

I’m hopeless now because the person that gave me hope is in the sky

All I can do now is wait until I die

Have my heart on my sleeve and a smile in disguise

How much I wish pain and death never existed

All these mixed emotions after a death have you wishing you never existed

But now I understand after all those losses, I listened

Appreciate your loved ones NOW because soon everyone will go missing
