Misperception of Medusa

Thu, 10/03/2019 - 20:27 -- T-Sims

It was in your prime beauty were the problems happened

Jealously and forced turned into the monster you never wished to be

He took you in by force and there was no going back

She turned your locks of hair into snakes

Forced into a situation that you couldn’t get out of

Lead you into a life of fighting

It is a true misunderstanding that you’re the villain

When really, you’re the victim

The sight of you turns things into stone

That eventually disapper with the wind

Ash to ash dust to dust

All talk with no trust

In today’s world the victims always to blame

That sleepwear and a tight skirt are the reason to take advantage

That nonverbal asking is to blame

And

The reaction of slashing out is not a way to cope

I didn’t know Medusa was a victim of rape

The truth was in the lines, but no one was listening

Misperception of Medusa is still alive today

Don’t let anyone change the truth about your story
