Misconstrue

Misconstrue

Galatians 2:20 ... “I’ve been crucified with Christ.

It is not longer I who lives ... but Christ, Who lives in me.

and the life that I now live in the flesh ... I live by faith in

the Son of God ... Who loved me and gave Himself for me”.

To misconstrue this truth ... can connote self-effacement

This leads to disaster ... and builds a wrong foundation

To submit to a spiritual life ... is not absence of volition

or a loss of personality ... and self-control’s submission

Letting go of myself ... never was the purpose

For me to be automated ... never was the plan

I need not be a machine-like ... mechanical moving robot

someone who without thinking ... tries to act like a man

To renounce all consciousness ... of our personal wishes

and to give up our taste and interests ... is not really submitting

Self-annihilation ... reducing self to a corpse

is not obedience to a spiritual life ... but a form of escapism

Absence of self consciousness ... is not death to self

To endlessly deliver self ... consciousness to naught

Until you hope to sense ... the presence of Christ Jesus

will lead you far away from Him ... to darkness’ own onslaught

“I’ve been crucified with Christ” ... so I no longer live

Here on this globe I mean ... I am seated up in Heaven

It is Christ Who lives in me ... for I am resurrected

in the Lord Himself ... complete as the number seven

Existing then departed ... and Life Himself came down

Death lost all its power ... and is just an empty shell

It is so amazing ... the Grace, Who intervened

and broke up the path of death ... that leads straight to hell
