Mirrors and windows

Wed, 03/09/2022 - 17:51 -- xerash

All the mirrors in my life

Let me see the prison

I am trapped in

Whether it’s a painting or a photo

Whether it’s a piece of glass or plastic

It shows a false me

If you peer into the windows of my house

You won’t ever see the real me

You might see my life but not me

Mirrors are like windows

Do you expect to discover something

Yeah all you see is lies and disappointment

For I am trapped inside of a body that isn’t mine

No amount of mirrors or windows will let you see

Who I really am and how I really live
