Mirrors

When I look into a mirror I see someone who is battered and broken

I see someone with scars

I see a person I do not know

As I stare into the eyes of this person their soul is revealed to me

All of the memories and pain are reflected through the eyes of this person

I can see the betrayal, I can see the soul wrenching sadness

That only a person who has had to go through so many difficult things alone knows

That is the person I see in the mirror

But that is only the surface

As I search deeper into the eyes of this person their soul is revealed in a new light

I see a person with an unbelivable strength to endure a betrayal so great it's unfathomable

Yet still be able to forgive at the end of the day

I see a person with battle wounds

I see a person who has put themselves back together again when all hope seemed loss

I see the stongest person in the world

As I look at the person in the mirror

I realize that they have flaws and they know it

But at the end of the day they never stop smiling

Because in their eyes they are flawess
