The Mirror of a Selfish Creature

Inspiration stems from one's own heart

their own passions reflected

in another kind of art

because we selfish creatures like to be known

I'll admit my own inspirations mirror my heart

I see people with souls like my own

souls that seem to stand apart

their kindness great yet their impact small

The ones who do good

not to be seen or praised

instead they do what they believe they should

in time their actions will spark flames

In my own life I want to be great

but I would much rather be good

not to be known by the masses

but to be genuinely seen by the few.
