Mirror Image (You Only Write Once #YOWO)

I look in the mirror and see what everyone else sees

A lost girl smiling to stay strong

When life gets rough I just smile

No need to let the tears fall for others to see

Look a little closer and you will begin to see the real me

Eyes with a look of emptiness

Droopy face of exhaustion

A fake smile to cover up tears threatening to fall

When you look a litte closer you see fear

You will begin to see a lost young girl just trying to find her way

Look closer and see the real me

The one that just wants to be loved

The one that the outside says is so great

While inside it's felt that it's not

The words are written on my face

Ugly

Unwanted

Annoying

People say this isn't true, but I say it is

Even mirrors can begin to lie too, though.
