Milestone

Walking through life-

ignore the birds

and ignore their smiles

because they only make you feel bad.

You breathe in pollution

and feel smog cling to your face.

Dirt and urban areas

  go hand in hand.

One day the walking stops because

there's a brown wall,

covered in the city's grime,

and you can't break through it.

Is this it?

Turn around and slide down the wall

  onto the ground.

Knees to your chest

and shaking- with hot tears.

This can't be all you have to live for,

but you guess it's obvious.

All you can really do is end it yourself,

before you rot slowly.

Slit your wrists.

Swallow the pills.

Get hit by the train.

Your corpse will forever lie there.

Forgotten.
