You always leave me to fend by my own.
Father, I call, but I do not see you.
How, then, do I say this place is my home?
Migrating bird, you got fed up and flew.

Stay stone still, I thought, to make the pain wane.
Thanks to you, my heart is hard as tree bark.
Knives of neglect attack without restraint,
But now, that mem’ry is just a dark mark.

For I have a mother, who cares for me.
She is mother, she’s father, she is all.
Her effort made me this person you see.
Be proud, losing you did not make us fall.

You see, it only made us stronger. Now, we see.
So, fly on flighty old bird, go, be free.
