Methodical

John 4:38

38 I sent you to reap what you did not work for; others have labored and you have entered into their labor.”

Methodical

Where is the inspiration, is it only in hard work?

Where is the stroke of gentleness in self-admiration?

Is not where the eagles fly and the wind always blows

close to the path, that’s paved with self-determination?

Without labor and busyness would any survive?

Even the escape from work takes lots of energy.

Think about the effort as a lazy mind contrives

to get all it can get for free in its own synergy.

Drapes before a window keep some privacy.

A wall around the heart is no great defense.

It only keeps in what is not worth the keeping

and dresses all this up in a form of false pretense.

Glasses glued on someone’s nose does not guarantee vision.

Blindness is a definite choice that is not beyond one’s scope.

Most of our encounters rest on our own decisions

and the resentment of facts have us cling to idle hopes.
