Mess

I met you at the corner of indecision

What a lovely night you bring unto me.

A road filled with a snow deep

Never had a cold felt like a sunrise.

They come for me to seek adventure

But I run to where I know we can hide.

Surrounded by the music of lush green

I dance with my notion of giving love.

A jacket so warm feels as though a house

A needing to become a home with chapped hands.

How soft they feel when they brush the tears

Of my sweet dream following the route back.

I keep watching you go back.

A swirl of the dangerous, but a dash of light

A smooth ice that hovers above our heads décor.

A worthwhile fire could come about my mending

Perhaps I could show you what it’s like to float.

You have a jacket so warm feels as though a house

A needing to become a home with chapped hands.

How soft they feel when they brush the tears

Of your sweet goodbye with the rush of silence.

I keep watching you go back.

I keep these memories close like skin upon my back.

I strum these notes and feel these paintings

I’m trapped in a creation that you made for me.

I keep remembering as I go back.
