Mermaid

The mermaid sits upon her rock

and combs each green and tangled lock

She splashes in the icy foam

She crunches on a sailors bone

The hollow voices in the caves

echo over sailors graves

She dives into the ocean deep

Tonlost souls in eternal sleep

She swims through palaces of pearl

while jellyfish around her whirl

She  dives into the ocean deep

where all lost souls so soundly sleep

She swims through palaces of pearl

while jellyfish around her whirl

She is the lady of the sea

her seagulls crying distantly

She'll never walk upon the sand

or enjoy the green and pleasant land

She is a child of foam and sea

Who sings her songs eternally
