Mental Inequality

Can we help ourselves,

To the horrific underbelly of inequality,

We usually see this racial inequality,

But there are more.

Much more.

How about gender inequality?

Yes, but that to is recognized nationally.

How about age inequality?

Yes, but this is left unseen by most people.

Then what inequality haven't we talked about?

Mental inequality.

What's that?

Think about this,

2 equal scenarios are presented with a criminal charge,

They are the same criminal charge,

One case has an Autistic person,

The other,

A white person that is perceived as "normal,"

Who will get the conviction?

The evidence suggest equal innocence to both people,

But I guarantee you that the Autistic person will receive a guilty verdict.

And the other person will get an innocent verdict.

This is inequality hiding under the umbrella of bias.
