Memory 5

Ephesians 6:8 New Living Translation (NLT)

Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free.

Memory

Do I only remember what I want too?

Do I only see what was nice?

Is the ugly easily forgotten and

Not worth keeping on this bed of lice?

Is this time’s way of healing?

Is this what keeps us in measure of sane?

Maybe an appointed umbrella

That we forget during storms and rain

Obstacles are moved with a different measure

Streets are repaired by filling holes

A new surface makes all the difference

Never affecting the life of a mole

So life goes on in search of comfort

As death creeps in at certain times

Only held back by lovers of patience

To secure salvation for the chosen kind

There is no power but God’s might

There is no way but only Christ

Whatever happens and is right

Comes through Jesus and His Light
