"In Memory Of"

In memory of what never was

Here's a poem of my condolences

We were nothing and now we're dead

A death too great to quickly mourn

Forgive me for what has to be said

It was never really alive, like a stillborn

In memory of what might have been us

This poem fades out like we did

Abrupt but at the same time

Nonexistent.
