Meet Again

Tue, 02/04/2020 - 00:36 -- Berry

A clear blue sky.The sun warming the grains of sand that massage our feet,

eating away years of fatigue.Water rolls in and out,

the faint taste of salt lingers in our mouth.

This place is perfect.

This place is safe... but how can I face you

knowing I did not do my best?

The choices stolen from you, the life You gave for me,

how can I not but follow His voice?

At such a young age

you lost mère.

At such a young age

pain only ended by death.

At such the being of manhood,

independance stripped away.

I cannot say you wait for me in this Safe Place, but

one day we will be together.

Our Father and Bother waiting for us,

with open arms.

This place is safe,

but I will not be there,

unless I fight the good battle here

Here, I will be thankful for the challenges.

Here, I will remember to praise his name.

Here, I will cherish every tear

They are lost to you.

You are lost to me.

Your future no longer clear.

One day the gates will open,

our family whole again. But,

until then,

Mother.

Friend.

Brother.

I longingly wait for the Brother to come.

I will follow his word.

I will be the tool used to mend those in pain
