Meek-ness

2 Corinthians 10:1

Paul’s Authority from the Lord

10 Now I, Paul, appeal to you personally by the meekness and gentleness of Christ (I who am meek when present among you, but am full of courage toward you when away!)—

Meek...ness?

Some folks hunger to be meek,

so they may be noticed for that.

Pulling it of makes them very sleek

and only truth shows them flat.

Than there are they … that are truly meek

never noticed by man … but by God.

In a colorful world they seem very bleak

like a faded shadow or dot.

Amazingly though … they are walking treasures,

but to the world a “worthless” creed.

Unnoticed, forgiving, just, but barred

are they … as they direct life's need.

Moses was meek, humble, but strong.

An example for all to be.

His strength was in that … he knew he belonged

to my Lord, Who forever loves me.
