Me and my loneliness
I hold my open arms
Empty and bare
In hope of holding you
With love and care
But the cold and hatred
Haunts me time to time
The day I lost you
Still reminds me of my crime
It was a marketplace
Filled with crowd
People running everywhere
To busy and too loud
Your little haand squashed in mine
As we tried to find our way
You couldn't keep up with the rush
On that dreadful day
You hand lost mine on the way
As I kept running on
Not once looking back to see
Where you had gone
At last I turned back to look
And I found no one
Horrified and frightened
I looked around for my only son
I searched and searched the place
For a sight of you
In spite of searching everywhere
I could not find you
Alas I sat down on the floor
And to my heart's consent cried
I couldn't remove the guilt from my heart
However hard I tried
And even today...
I hold my open arms
Empty and bare
In hope of holding you
With love and care
But the cold and hatred
Haunts me time to time
The day I lost you
Reminds me of my crime...
