For too long, I’ve spent my life hiding, hiding in the shadows.

I’ve hidden who I am behind baggy clothes, 

hiding my eyes, hiding my feelings.

I cannot take it anymore. I can’t continue hiding.

I’m a writer, a filmmaker, a long boarder, an artist, 

a bookworm, and so much more.

Those who know me occasionally see the real me.

My close friends can tell if something is wrong by looking at me.

I’ve hidden my hurt for so long. I don’t want to anymore.

I love my freedom and being outdoors. I love being inside.

I have a passion for forensic science and for computer programming.

So starting today I’m not going to keep hiding who I am.

I’m going to be me and keep being me.

From now on, I'll be me. This is me.
