Me

Me
Who is me?
Who am I to say the least to
Anything?
Am I you
Are you me-
Is me an existing being or is it all
Just red.
Because that’s all I see,
All I feel is black
And all that I bleed
Is the pain
Suffering
Harsh
Unforgiving reality of now- who are
We?
We are
Who others want us to be.
The perfect happy
Made up Utopia of what our society
Wants us to be.
When inside the compounds of
Our own souls-
Inescapable.
We start to pull ourselves out to the
Light
And the dirt just keeps piling-
Growing on top of us,
Until we’re back where we started
So I ask.
Who am I?
Because the me I want to be is
Kidnapped,
Hidden away by the me
I’m forced to be
Surrounded by the we’s we hate to
Be.
So.
Who are we?
Am I you?
Are you me?
