THIS IS ME

Sun, 11/24/2024 - 11:27 -- Vern

Amisdt the mirrors' gleaming glare, A face unknown, a heart laid bare.                                                                                                                                Within the shadows of the mind, A maze, where dreams unwind.

By daylight's grace, a cloak I bear, Of strength perceived, yet masks laid bare.                                                                                                                  Beneath the veil, embers burn free, Of conscious passions, this is me..

Praise me not for deeds so seen, But for the battles fought unseen.                                                                                                                                      The silent wars, the quiet cries, In darkness where my spirits flies.

Ambition drives with iron will, Yet doubts and fears my thoughts do fill.                                                                                                                             A fragile heart, a mind so vast, A tempest in a tranquil glass.

Emotions surge like tidal waves, Yet find a calm in silent caves.                                                                                                                                          Trouble weighs upon my chest, In solitude, I find my rest.

Resigned to fate, yet ever free, In shadows deep, this is me.                                                                                                                                                  A tapestry of night and day, A soul that treads its own way.
