Maybe I Have Hope

I like the sky because it helps me see the stars

Creativity doesn't burst until we know who we are

And if we fail to find ourselves before our death,

Then all we could know was destiny’s best.

We can fight the screen others put up around us

Or the shadow that others cast down upon us

Or the deep dark secrets that make us loose pride

But in the end we all know that the worst is inside

When we take down our veils,

our protection

we must

remember we are simply nothing but dust

I keep up my chin

Under my mask

all the day long

because I know no one can like me

help me

hurt me

if they know where I belong

I pray someday

I'll let my true face peek through

from the holes in the mask

that will someday burn through

Ill let my heart hold on

to the idea of me

and maybe someday

Ill let myself free
