For Maya

But still like air I will float

But still like an ancor you will sink

You are a succumbed sheep

while I graze free

because like air I will float

And you my sheepish shepard have sunk

Cap-sized like a raft in Katrina

Oh, caged bird you have no song

no tune to call your own

a sitting relic waiting for saving

But, I call out

All on my own

The caged bird who does sing

Ready, wing and wing

Leads the flight

Because like air I float

Break the bars

and float

Because a caged bird cannot fly

and an anchor cannot float
