Maturity and repentance

 Ecclesiastes 4:13        New English Translation

Labor Motivated by Prestige Seeking

13 A poor but wise youth is better than an old and foolish king

who no longer knows how to receive advice.

Maturity

Growing old and ripe in age does not give maturity

Having a lot of what seems yours does not provide security

Learning much to develop in mind doesn’t show purity

Striving hard to get a lot does not enlighten empathy

There is a way to grow young and is not hard to find

Just start today with yourself if you really don’t mind

Be sincere to die to self and salvation you will find

A free gift just for you and maturity of a special kind

The battle is in your soul called the center of your flesh

Putting on the mind of Christ and in obeying to give your best

You’ll be then transformed, and you may observe the rest

Christ will use in will the work through victories in your quests
