Masks

Location

Whether I am alone

Or I am a mere face in the crowd

I show  the spirit with which I was endowed

For a lack thereof I would condone.

When I speak, I seek to be more than skin and bone

I never want falsities to enshroud;

I have no reason not to be proud

Of imperfections that are easily shown.

Instead of filtering out the bad from the good

I feel that every individual alive

Should leave be that which separates,

And if only everyone could;

There would be less lies to contrive

And more rawness to appreciate.
