Mask
Mask
She wakes up everyday
She gets dressed and puts on her mask
She walks out the door and pretends to be happy
When really…
she's broken
She goes about her day as if everything is ok
She puts a wall with a single door
No one can come in that door
and see her sadness
People bully her
hurt her
and treat her like dirt
Feeling like a child in a dark room on a stormy night
Trapped in the web of society
Spiraling into an endless world of defeat
She realizes that pretending to be happy is her hell
She has to let her feelings free
So she takes off her mask
She’s free
