Marigolds For You

I wish I could

Give you

A bouquet of

Marigolds

But the marigolds

That lie in my hand

Wilt, and they wilt,

For there is no water

To be found

If only we could

Walk hand in hand

In a pathway of

Golden marigolds

If God could give me

A bouquet of

Marigolds arrayed in

Sunshine

I'd shine with you,

Marigolds being the

Sun, being the

Golden pathway

That leads us to

A golden kingdom

I wish there was

Water, to offer

To the Sun,

God let me

Fly to the Sun

Let me be a marigold

Where I am offered

Where I shine

Where all that glitters

Is gold

So that you could

Always glitter

Shine, fly

Become the sun

I offer with

Cempasuchil's

Sweet incense

Smell, burned

In shallow cups

In order to please

The Sun.
