Maria

Maria, Maria, such a pretty name;
 So tempting, so innocent, you pull my body towards you;
 Without a touch, with just a smile, you pull my ‘ttention into;
 But I’m not a pig, I’m not a lion, I won’t play this losing game;
 You tempt my soul, you tempt my mind, but my heart lay somewhere else;
 I’ve hurt you once, won’t do it again, for I can’t give you what you need;
 I’ve spoiled the fruit, so stop me now, before I kill the tree;
