A Man's Woes

Oh take me in your arms
Keep me from harm.
Stop the madness,
As each day passes.

Oh, run you elegant fingers,
Into the gaps of mine.
How I wish each day would linger,
For the future is not kind.

From my arms you saw him.
And when the sun went dim,
You broke our bond.
Your love for me is gone.

How demons lurk.
Oh it hurts, it hurts.
Makes my eyes bleed salty sorrow.
You left me in filth to wallow.

Under the stars you met.
Alone, my eyes grow wet.
In darkness I weep,
For it is your love I cannot keep.

Oh, take me in your arms.
I’ll keep you from harm.
Oh, please stop the madness,
As each day passes.

How my hate grows,
As you fall to your low.
Stay no longer with me,
For I will not plea.

As I pack to leave,
He is all you see.
All I know is,
Your happiness is the most important thing.

Oh take me in your arms,
One last time.
For only in my dreams,
Are you truly mine.
