In A Manger

He came for you
He came for me
What he did
Was set us free

Why did he
We don’t understand
All we see
Is his healing hand

His glorious coming
Prophesied long before
The Angel's calling
A son is to be born

Through a woman named Mary
A virgin pledged to Joseph
Though it was scary
She followed God’s objective

He is called Immanuel
God with us
He will free his people
From sin they possess

Laid in a manger
In a town called Bethlehem
Led by an Angel
Shepherds came to worship him

The Magi saw the star
So brightly shining
Above the barn
Where Jesus was laying

Overjoyed they bring
Frankincense, myrrh and gold
As an offering
To the King they behold

Jesus was born
Imagine the sight
There was no mourn
But rejoicing all night

Our saviour has come
Made himself small
He is God’s son
And the father of all
