To Mama Gaia

I wish there was a way for me to assure you

That I do all that I can to thank you

For allowing us to dwell and walk peacefully in your arms

To hear others say they have laid claim

To your mountains of beauty and rivers of high acclaim

Makes me seethe and resent the group of beings that I am apart of

Because your love and gifts have no limit

You are the unstoppable

The one that man must bow down to, she who holds all power

You are rocks tumbling down a mountain face

The one who decides who lives and who dies

When we shall feed and how much we shall grow

How much knowledge we are allowed to receive and when enough is enough

Some may call you Earth, other names too

But to me, you are and always will be my Mama Gaia
