Mama
Mama,
growing up in a different world than you
leaves me, and you, unprepared for our vocal war.
transitioning into a lady,
makes you see that there's no choice but to let go of my leash.
Mama,
you remind me of the humanity that others forget to practice.
you have tended for me, regardless of the sins I've done.
Mama,
you love me in a way where words fail to do so
& I love you
in a way actions fail to prove so.
