Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,
Step right up to the magic show!
Today’s main attraction: the disappearing girl!
She’s here in one instant, and in the next she’s gone.
Just say, “Abracadabra!”, and she’ll leave.

She won’t leave you a letter, or give you a goodbye.
She’ll just leave a text and “POOF!” She’s gone.
Now don’t worry. It’s not like she ever cared for you in the first place.
No need to fret about where she gone.
Because if she needs something from you, “KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!” She’s back again!
And just like she did before, she’ll take what you give her and “ABRACADABRA!” She’s gone again.

In and out, In and out: She’ll come around and around just like a drive-thru,
And she’ll keep asking for your emotions until there’s nothing left of you.
And just like Santa on Christmas, you’ll keep giving and giving.
Because you believe that this time, things will be different.
But you’re never right. She just doesn’t care.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls
Step right up to the magic show!
Today’s main attraction: the juggler!
To me she’s a sister, to you maybe a daughter.
Just give her your heart and watch her juggle it around and around.
And, OOPS! She dropped it. Oh no! Your heart is shattered.
She’ll return it damaged. To her, it doesn’t matter.
So you’ll just have to use duct tape and fix the broken pieces.
And when she comes back again, she’ll say she’s better now.
She knows how to juggle, and she’ll make you proud!
So she rips your heart out, and juggles it and juggles it.
And guess what? She broke it again.

And you’re such a sucker.
See, you were raised thinking that sisters didn’t come with safety warnings
Saying: Warning, Emotions may be broken in the making of this relationship.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls
Step right up to the magic show!
Today’s main attraction: the guessing game!
Today’s question: Will things ever change?
Will you ever be able to have a sister again?
Will you ever get a phone call for Christmas? How about New Year’s?
Best of all, will she even remember your birthday this year?
Don’t hold your breath. What makes you think things will be different?
What makes you think she’ll ever care?
Even though you want her to be here,
She acts like it’s her job to disappear.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls
Sorry, but today the magic show is closed.
The boy in the audience won’t say abracadabra anymore, because now he doesn’t care if she’s here.
The boy is way too smart to give up his heart for a juggler.
And the guessing game is closed, since the boy now knows all the answers.

The boy knows better than to play those silly games now.
He learned all the secrets to the magic tricks.
He’s learned that magic doesn’t really exist.
And even though by definition, she was a sister.
And often, he really did miss her,
Every night, he would go to bed feeling like an only child.
