Madness

Boundless void filled fields, solitary figures - solace in the snow,

Incomprehensible vastness, and yet, endless suffocation closing in,

Notions, conceptions, contemplation, simply drifting, a come and go,

Ideas confront, oppose incessantly, no clear way to win,

Constructions erected in an instant, decimated just as fast,

Destroyed by a single thought, word, answer, by doubt,

Yet the constructions continue their never ending building,

Becoming derelict, desperation settles in,

An air of unrest, agitation, an unnerving discomfort spreads,

Seeping through the cracks in the desolate darkness,

Infecting and spreading, a virus with no cure...

Chaos, havoc, destruction, utter mayhem, riots and an all out war,

Blazes and infernos, earth shattering shrieks, deafening screams,

Sudden unexpected, one final death crushes it all,

And it's gone, away, departed, no more...

Boundless void filled fields, an absence of existence - solace in the night,

A pinprick of light, unreachable, shrinking, diminishing, closing in,

No views, no perception, no deliberation; a blankness that engulfs,

Moral intentions tainted, yet victorious, implanting themselves, uprooting the old,

Inserting, embedding, no challenging voice to halt,

They have found a way to win...
