Lying in Wait

The hissing and spitting.

The cold eyes.

The harsh words.

The barrier that won't be broken.

The cold flare.

The hard stare.

The purpled face.

The gritting teeth.

The closing of fists.

The misunderstanding.

The caught lier.

The barrier that won't break.

The shouts.

The yells.

The communication

Broken.

Broken

Snapped

Crushed

Flouted

Defeated

There is a fire lit.

A fire raging acrossed the lands.

Turning the heads

And shouting.

So much shouting

As the fire dies,

Communication clears,

Repaired.

It's still there.

Lurking under the skin

Like a virus of flames

Ready for some wood.

Undefeated

Hiding

Lying in wait

Smiling.

This poem is about:
Our world
