A Lullaby for Broken Hearts

Sat, 01/06/2018 - 03:48 -- Auré

Stop crying, little baby
For all will be fine soon
Here to sing to you are all
The stars and the bright moon
If your cries continue, sweet,
All of us will be sad
But I won't say "Do not weep"
Because not all tears are bad
Here we are in a dark cage
Fearing for what will come
But if I know us, there's a
Way and it will be done

Your sister with a mighty heart
Will hold us close and safe
And if evil, bad things come near
She will fight them away
Your brother here with his clear voice
Will sing you into sleep
And even after your dreams come
Will keep you company
Your friend right here to give us hope
Even in hopelessness
And here to make us laugh with joy
Even when we just mope

We'll make this prison our place
We'll make these bars our gold
A joy unlike any other
Unlike stories of old
Our love and hope will sustain us
Peace will flow though our mind
If we still have one another
And very soon we'll find

That this is all just a nightmare
That this shadow has gone
And in the arms of our family
Love which of we were fond
We'll find in the a great joy
The will to smile again
But still remember the lesson
All can be done with hope

All can be done with love
Heart
Courage and
Hope
