Loving Wrong

You smile at me from across the room.

I glare and turn away.

I feel my heat melt and smile despite myself.

I love you despite the pain you cause me.

You tell me you love me then you go and talk to other girls.

How can you look me in the eyes and say you love me,

Then go and be unfaithful.

I turn back and around and watch as you pull another girl close and then wink at me.

My heart longs for you but it breaks at the same time.

Sade's slave song comes in my head.

Marshall walks to me and wraps me in his arms.

I fall prey to him again.
