Lover's Gay

Forever grateful is my plea.

That your love would stay for me.

My heart throbbed for your embrace.

But your hands stayed firmly placed.

Tears stream in the lashes of my eyes.

    Lips trimble, quivering with fright.

Will my lover be forever ripped from my hands?

The warmth of his embrace gone?

No.

For if his love for me is forever done..

    My memories of my lover...

Will stay forever in my heart.
