Lovely Absence

Two hearts diverge.

One beautiful and right,

The other lonely and left.

No Priapus nor Aphrodite can converge their paths again,

For emptiness has led each astray.

Alas—Why?

Beauty has no equals,

And loneliness knows no bounds,

Yet, one thing is for certain,

Love never wins in the absence of each.
