Love is a Wildfire
Could I compare you to a wildfire?
Your words burn my brain like decaying wood
And your love changes course, quick to expire;
A decrepit mess of beauty which once stood.
Yet as the flames die away, beauty arises
As does when the flames of your temper fade;
Beauty reaching out of dirt like small surprises,
Thriving like fish at the bottom of the ocean.
Like a wildfire, your love shows no limit
It could burn all of your mistakes away;
Although it seems cruel to compare you to a fire,
Only flames could suit you to my desire.
