Love, Through The Hour

A day of coffee

strong as sin

and books

to lose herself in.

And in a single dawn

as his laughter

kissed her throat

she became

a woman in love.

Of rain

as it chastises

the trees.

Of wandering thoughts

and whispering leaves.

She watched

how the daybreak

fell upon his smile

and loved him

still more.

Never was I merely half in love with you.

You were nothing,

then suddenly everything.

As the sun slipped to dusk

she knew

she had to get him back.
