Love: Then and Now

Back then love stood at about 6ft tall and built like a football player

Then love had unruly hair and piercings

Then he had tattoos and was wild

Back then love was mean to the world, except for me...

Or so I thought....

Then love told me things like "You are beautiful. But you'd be even more beautiful if..."

Then love liked punching near me

Then love loved like screaming at me

Then love liked cheating

Back then to love I was just a prize to be won, the better man gets the girl

Back then to love I was meat

We had our beautiful moments but we were never on the same tracks

We always just missed each other

Back then I let love go.

Now love is the same height as me

Love has unruly hair and wants tattoos

Now love tells me things like "You are beautiful. End of story."

Now love loves to caress my face and hold me close.

Now love likes to make me scream with laughter

Now love likes spending his off time with me

Now to love I am the best thing to ever happen to him

Now I am a goddess and his queen

Our moments are beautiful and we are the same train on the same track

Always together and we stop to enjoy scenery

Now. I'll never let love go.
