Love Like Rain

Some secrets better left unsaid
Sometimes the past is sweeter, dead.
I'll keep our story safe inside...
In my heart, In my head.

On my body, through my sweat
With every beat, our secret kept
Your blood was dry, and such is best
Yet though I tried, the moon was wet

A passion of a different kind
Not serpent's bed I used to find
A gentle hand, and just a kiss
And yet so dry I feel so blind!

We've been so empty for so long
Why this time? What went wrong?
Without intention, I was filled
What made me weak has left me strong

Burning liquid, doused in pain
True love reserved for the insane
But you weren't crazy, just sweet drought
And love is like a falling rain
