Love is Love

Love is a mystery,

A dark cave if you will,

No one knows what they are getting into,

They just do it for the thrill.

Love is a journey

One without a map

Some follow freely,

Others think it’s a trap.

Love is an adventure

One that you know nothing about,

Because everyone is different

And you are always filled with doubt

Love is like the ocean,

The currents tugging and pulling.

You know where you want to be,

But you don’t know where you are going.

Love is a foreign language,

Where the words are always changing,

Once you think you know them,

They feel like rearranging.

Love is like a claw.

Grabbing people by the heart,

Once you think you’ve won the race,

It pulls you right back to the start.

Love is like a blank canvas,

Something so simple and plain,

But with a splash of paint and color,

It would never look the same.

Love is love,

Something that all of us will know.

It will come in many shapes and forms,

we just have to learn to go with the flow.
