You look up, hoping to see another day

The love is no longer there; for, hatred has overcome

This world is corrupt and fire fills your bones

You can't take the abuse, the torture, the ridicule

You are not the circus freak

For you are a human being

You live off emotion

You feed off the pain

You wonder if one day

The world will understand

That you are who you are

There is no one like you

You are unique

You are beautiful

You are YOU

But they do not understand

They won't understand

They see you as a threat

A threat that loves nothing less

That loves nothing more

For it burns through their core

For they can't understand

That you were never made to be the same

You were made to change the world

For it needs to be changed

They only see black and white

The color burns their eyes

They live off only one emotion

For you live off many

Until they beat it

Until they seize it

Until they crush it

Until then you shall prevail

Until then you shall control

Until then you shall be YOU

You look up and see another day

This world may be corrupt

But can you live to see the change

The day when people see themselves as being the same
