Love letters of '87

87 once again

20th century

Across the diner with blue eyes

Blue as the ocean I love ever so much

A painting from my mother's portrait

In the back of our cafe

The train leaves at dawn

14 hours left

Why do you have to leave so soon

kind , gentle words spill from your lips onto the page of the poems that I adore so dearly

I’ve finally found you

But lost just as fast as coffee passes my lips, down my throat, a sweet burning sensation

Glorified forever in the petrichor air

August has been too kind

Cracked leaves replace blossomed petals

Romeo and Juliet

As kind as silk on your back

Smooth like coffee we shared

In good old ‘87

Young and beautiful

The stars above the heavens

The girl on the balcony

Looking out her window in the late  night

I write out how i feel  on the yellow stained paper

In the dead of night

The dark picking me up and taking me to my dreams

I hear the birds chirping

Followed by silence

A place in the meadow

Ruby with her  long rose gold dress

Flourishing in the wind

Waiting for it's time

I hope you are happy now

for happiness is not given

It is earned

It is your choice on how much you deserve
