Love Hurts

A road of green

Through the sea

I long for you my dear

As I hope you do me

Your love stings

Like a bee

But I can not help,

Let my love grow like a tree

But the love

Was not to be

For you stumbled

Away from me

And you left me alone,

Alone, but not free

The love we had, blew away,

Blew away with the breeze

And I remember

When we were so carefree

But soon affection turned to shadows

Despite my plea

You spun around

And my broke my heart as if it was a guarantee

Because when I found out

That you loved another, it was time to flee

Because the price

Of your toxic love was quite a fee

And I should have known

That you would be like a key

Choosing to lock me away

But how could I have foreseen?

Why was I so gullible?

Why did I ever agree?

But you were charming

And calming like tea

But now of affection

Has turned to debris

And I will never

Be your loyal devotee

Because you broke my heart

But forgot that I could disagree.
