Love to Burn

A tear my dear, for you I weep, one too many times.

We lit a match and watched it fall as our lives became intertwined.

I heard your voice course with smoke playing on rewind.

And there I lingered, once, twice, three times more, as nothing else remained.

A memory of eternity, now devoured by flames.
