Lost but Not Forgotten

Thu, 04/21/2016 - 12:39 -- Bug

The storm rages on inside,
I'm drowning in this deep sea.
I steel myself against it,
Praying you'd rescue me.

I am stranded way out here,
Out in this pain-filled land.
Not able to speak a word,
I can't even think to stand.

One wave after the other,
They slowly tear me apart.
Their words of hatred sting me,
Each is tearing out my heart.

I am lost inside this life,
The tide is overwhelming.
My heart's full of pain and strife,
Lost here, though I'm still singing.

I'll make it out of this place,
Sooner or later, I will.
I know I've fallen from grace,
Grateful He loves me still.
